Training for Teachers in Palliative Care - Advanced
Training in contemporary teaching skills for doctors and health care professionals working in palliative care.
Who can attend
This training is open to doctors and healthcare professionals who have -
- worked for more than two years in palliative or end of life care.
- experience in teaching.
- attended a Training for Teachers in Palliative Care Foundation course.
The course is taught in English but if there are enough participants from a specific language area, it may be possible to do some small group work in other languages.
About the Course
This 3 day masterclass introduces further concepts in the field of education.
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in and analyse teaching sessions. They will be encouraged to bring teaching projects/challenges to the course. They will also have an opportunity to examine a specific theme in teaching and learning such as assessment, multidisciplinary teaching, managing challenging students, bedside teaching.

Has a PhD in educational science and has specialised in the area of palliative care and bereavement care. In 2005 she became a Visiting Education Fellow to the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool

Professor of Palliative Medicine at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool.
