INTRODUCTION

  • This course targets doctors working in palliative medicine who are involved in teaching and education.

  • The main focus is the teaching situation and its specific teaching formats, as encountered by the palliative medicine teacher.
  • The emphasis is on how to teach, not what to teach: so new developments in palliative medicine are not part of this course.

  • The opportunity to work with colleagues from a national and international background is a valuable and important facet of the course. Different cultural experiences contribute to insights regarding attitudes, one of the most difficult aspects of teaching.
