The palliative care services and the palliative care development and research unit at Stockholms Sjukhem Foundation (SSH) work in partnership with the Karolinska Institute and the Stockholm County Council. It is a comprehensive clinical and academic environment.

 

Examples of Previous Relevant Collective Experience

  • Several doctoral projects and other research and development projects relevant for palliative care
  • Grant awarded to develop a risk assessment instrument for complicated grief and a care pathway for family/bereavement.
  • Collaborative work to translate the LCP into Swedish and implementation in different care services.
  • Founding partners of national quality register of the dying, grant awarded from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
  • Coordinating center of national networks in palliative care such as the Swedish Palliative Care network (information), the National Council for Palliative Care and the national research network (PANIS)
