Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman publishes their Report today regarding complaints at the End of Life

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman today (Wednesday 20th May, 2015) publishes its report regarding complaints in End of Life Care. 

The report identifies a number of ongoing key themes essential to providing best care for the dying including the importance of recognising dying, communication and symptom control. It also includes reference to our work at the Institute on national care for the dying audit in hospitals. It is essential reading for everyone who shares our commitment to excellence in care for the dying.
