A local Action Research Programme has been running since 2003 within the ICU at The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (RLBUHT)

The LCP generic Hospital document Version 11 has required some review to ensure it meets the needs of the ICU.

The collaboration across ICU & Specialist Palliative Care has been crucial to the success of the project

A National LCP ICU Foundation Study Day was held in April 2007 to share some of the challenges and successes to date of this innovative exciting action research programme.

The current LCP ICU is now available if other Intensive Care Units would like to join the project.

You will need to complete a registration form & letter of endorsement from executive level (please send together) in order to join the LCP ICU Project - this is irrespective of prior generic registration with the MCPCIL
