The LCP Central Team are presently working closely with colleagues in our local paediatric hospital and hospice to develop a pathway specifically for this group initially for use in hospice and community settings. The pathway is being amended (through a planned process of consultation with paediatric colleagues) to meet the specific needs of young people / children and their informal carers at this challenging time. The amended pathway is about to enter its pilot phase, and subsequent to an evaluation of this phase we envisage the need for further piloting before a finalised document is available.
